The Lowell repeater has a callsign of K8LOW and is sometimes referred to as being the K-LOW repeater. It was placed at its present site by Andy Felde, AF8U. A Board of Directors consisting of two students and two adults work together to make decisions as how the controller, and repeater, will be used. The repeater is a joint effort between amateur radio licensed students and adults in an organization titled: Lowell Repeater Alliance. ALL licensed ADULTS and STUDENTS are encouraged to use it.
